Neo Social Design: slippers that give new life to waste
A Neo Social Design was born in Porto, in 2020, out of the desire to prove that design can be more than aesthetics - it can be environmental transformation and social impact.
The brand began working with surpluses from the textile and upholstery industry, collecting materials that did not enter the production circuit and would otherwise be discarded. Thus was born a project that unites sustainability, creativity and community.
From waste to comfort
At Merece, we highlight their sustainable slippers, the Água and Céu models, which fully reflect this philosophy.
Each pair is made from leftover fabrics and upholstery, recovered and reinvented to become comfortable and unique footwear.
As the materials available vary, no pair is exactly the same as the other - which makes each slipper an authentic piece with its own personality.
Social impact with local roots
The history of Neo Social Design goes beyond the reuse of materials. From the outset, the brand has integrated a strong social component, collaborating with local workshops and inclusion projects involving people in vulnerable situations.
In this way, each slipper carries two stories: that of the materials that have been given new life and that of the people who have given them form.
A lighter, more conscious step
For us at Merece, this partnership has a special meaning.
When you choose a pair of slippers from Neo Social Designyou're avoiding waste, supporting local production and contributing to a more conscious and supportive future.
It's taking a lighter step - in every sense.
